Each wire rope assembly is made to your dimensions and consists of:
- One length of 1x19 stainless steel rope
- Fixed threaded swage stud at each end
- Threaded fork with clevis pin at each end
Adjustment
Adjustment to tension on the wire can be achieved by rotating the fork end fittings.
Safety tip: you should only unscrew fork ends the maximum length stated.
We recommend the maximum thread exposure at each individual end should be:
- 5mm Ø x M8 = 13mm
1x19 Wire Rope
1x19 stainless steel wire rope is stronger than other types of stainless steel cable and has less stretch. This also means it is non flexible and does not allow for kinks or bends.
1x19 stainless steel wire rope is often used in yacht and sail boat rigging, architectural structural rigging and balustrades.
